S + J - Gros Morne Elopement

Adventurous Elopement in Gros Morne, Newfoundland

A few months back, Stephanie and Jon reached out to see if I could photograph their Gros Morne elopement. The couple was planning a visit and decided that they wanted to get married while they were here. I love the west coast but had never had the pleasure of photographing a wedding there. So, I was pretty excited they decided to go with me for their wedding photos.

The trip across the island is about eight hours. I headed out early Saturday morning and made it to Woody Point to explore a bit and watch the sunrise. Stephanie and I had gone over a few places she had in mind for the ceremony and photos, so I spent my evening checking them out and watching an incredible sunset.

On the day of their elopement, we met in Trout River. They shared their first look with some incredible views and then had their ceremony in a field. Their guests were the bride's parents and their adorable puppy.

After the ceremony, we hiked into the tablelands. It was my first time there, and it was beyond incredible. Of course, not every couple wants to hike on their wedding day, but you are guaranteed to get some magical photos along the way.

It was such a beautiful weekend, and I am so grateful for the opportunity.
