Romantic Surprise Proposal Overlooking The Atlantic Ocean

Surprise proposals are one of my favorite types of sessions. It is always such an honor to be a part of such a special memory. This one was particularly adorable. They had recently moved to Newfoundland and wanted to take some photos to celebrate their new journey so they booked a couples session. The day of the session D reached out to me and said he was wanting to propose during the shoot but the ring he ordered didn’t arrive on time. He was trying to come up with a solution and was hoping I had a ring to use (sadly I didn’t). He decided to go ahead with it anyways and we set a plan for the session. There are so many ways you can surprise your partner, but we decided something sweet and simple. I told them to both face opposite ways and told them they were going to turn and walk towards each other. What B didn’t know was that D was already down on one knee waiting. Her reaction was so emotional and it was such a beautiful moment to be a part of. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding later this year!
