Romantic wedding in downtown St. Johns, Newfoundland

I first met B + D a couple years ago when D reached out to me to photograph their surprise proposal. Immediately after the shoot B asked what my availability was and I couldn’t wait to be a part of their day. They wanted someone who was laid back and would capture the day as it unfolded. They didn’t want their day to feel like a photo shoot and didn’t want to spend hours doing posed photos when they could just be enjoying their wedding day. I was so glad they found me! I love to document your day as if happens.

The day started out at their air bnb in the battery. An air bnb is always such a good idea for getting ready if you aren’t living in the city, or don’t want to have everyone hanging out in your own space. From there they headed to Brewdock to hang out and have some drinks. We took about ten minutes for some posed family photos before they headed to their ceremony/ reception at The Well Room. They decided to sneak out after their ceremony for a quick walk around downtown. And then again later in the night after the sun went down. While I love golden hour, it’s so much fun going out after dark, especially downtown St. John’s. I used the natural light to get some fun photos after dark.

They ended the evening by dancing the night away. I’ve been to alot of weddings, and this was one of the most fun dance floors I’ve got to photograph. As soon as the first song came on everyone was up and dancing. It was such a beautiful day to be a part!
